5 Compelling Reasons to Embrace the Power of Video in Your Business Journey

I know, you’re probably expecting this to be a pitch of why you should hire my video production company to create videos for your business. And while, yes, I’d love to work with you, that’s not entirely what this is about. I simply want to empower you to make videos. Whether you make them yourself on your phone, or hire my company to make them, I really think you should be creating videos for your business! And if you’re not yet convinced, these are 5 ways in which video can help your business move you closer to your goals.

  1. Brand Awareness & Storytelling:
Video can help share the narrative around your brand and why you do what you do. This narrative will allow your customers/clients to develop a more personal connection with your brand. In a world where many things are commoditized, the connection people have with your story is paramount to helping you stand out.

This is an example of a video we created for a non-profit to tell their story & history to their audience. This video has been used to fundraise, and as a reel to help spread their message and gain sponsorships and community support.

  2. Personality & Trust Building:
Putting a face to your brand reminds viewers that there are real people behind your company! People don't want to do business with a logo. They want to do business with people!

  3. Effective, Timely Communication:
In a busy world where consumers are used to watching videos, many people would rather watch your 60 second video, than read that same information in various paragraphs. Tone & message can also be more precise when in video.

  4. Improved Customer/Client Engagement:
In recent years, video has been found to be more engaging and hold audiences for longer than just a photo.

  5. Versatility:
It’s not uncommon to create multiple videos from a single video shoot! This way, your message can be disseminated over various platforms with differing goals, and you only have to do the work once!

We did something similar when we filmed for a full day with the Desert of Maine, and created 13 videos for them from that single day of filming. Much of the footage was able to be repurposed in various different videos, each serving a unique purpose.
